Minneapolis is the largest city in the state of Minnesota and is located on both sides of the Mississippi river, adjoining Saint Paul, the capital city of the state. The population of the city as per the last census was 372,811. The city has been recording a fall in population over the past several decades. The population of African-Americans, Asians and Hispanics has been growing, and this group now comprises one-fifth of the city’s population. Minneapolis has fewer older and unemployed people compared to other cities of the United states.
